Marvic Self Catering Holiday Cottage is Located in Gatehouse of Fleet, in the middle of a National Scenic Area, on the edge of the magnificent Galloway Forest Park in the rural heart of Dumfries and Galloway.
A pretty 2 bedroom self catering cottage with modern amenities from which to explore one of Southern Scotland’s most beautiful regions.
The visitor will find this area steeped in history, with a friendly welcome, excellent local shops, restaurants and pubs, a stunning coastline, diverse wildlife , including the Red Kite Trail and opportunities to indulge in many sporting and outdoor activities. Something for everyone.
Golfers can enjoy a wide variety of courses including the testing 9 holer in Gatehouse itself with magnificent views , or the parkland courses at Kirkcudbright and Castle Douglas, just a few miles away.
This is a walkers’ paradise with many paths, easy and difficult, through forests or along the coastline or along the shores of the local Lochs (Ken and Trool). Those a little more “mechanical” will find that there are numerous cycle tracks and trails and if your passion is fishing then you will not be disappointed. Local beaches are excellent spots to wile away an afternoon watching your children play while you read, unwind and relax in a most peaceful atmosphere away from the urban roar!
